Brush and bulk

  • Put materials on the curb in front of your home; do not place on vacant lots or medians
  • Do not place materials in front of utility poles, traffic signs, utility meters or hydrants
  • Do not stack brush too close to fences, mail boxes, under overhead wires or low hanging tree limbs
  • Do not allow brush to block the sidewalk or protrude into the street
  • Accepted at curb: Tree Limbs (8 feet or less), Shrubbery
  • Do not include bagged leaves, lumber, wood, plastic or any other material with the brush and limbs
  • Bagged leaves & cuttings are placed with the weekly garbage collection
  • Brush should be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Monday of your collection week

Baytown Household Hazardous Waste Event — Held twice a year; last event mentioned April 18, 2026. Stay in your vehicle throughout drop-off Proof of Baytown residency required (driver’s license or utility bill) Residential disposal only; businesses not eligible Accepted items may vary by event—review latest list before attending Accepted, for example: Antifreeze, Gasoline/Fuels, Household Cleaners, Pool Chemicals, Car Batteries, Paint Products (up to 5 gallon containers; 10 cans per vehicle), Pesticides, Fertilizers, Motor Oil, Filters, Tires (up to 4 per vehicle), Old Furniture, Scrap Metal, Building Materials, Brush/Tree Limbs.

Baytown Green Center

1601 W Main, Baytown, TX 77522 · Sunday and Monday: Closed; Tuesday-Friday: 12pm-7pm; Saturday: 9am-4pm · 281-420-5300. Accepts household debris, brush/tree limbs, electronic waste, and recyclable materials (per Green Center / Garbage pages). Fees: cars and pickups $10, trailers to 8 ft $10, 8–16 ft $20. 3 ft max height for all trucks & trailer loads; trailers over 16 ft not allowed; cash only; residents only; driver license + City of Baytown water bill required (names must match)

Water and sewer rates (single-family)

Base charges: water $11.82, sewer $12.76. Water by volume: First two thousand gallons per unit $3.19; Next four thousand gallons per unit $7.20; Use over six thousand gallons per unit $9.93. Sewer by volume: First two thousand gallons per unit $3.19; Next ten thousand gallons $7.20. Other line items on a sample bill: garbage and recycling $40.00, drainage $4.00.

Deposits: $100 owner / $200 tenant; service charge $30 (must be included with the deposit). Deposits must be paid before service is activated. Commercial deposits vary. Same-day service not available; service activated next business day after account established (exceptions for under-construction). Previous account balance must be paid in full.

Service fees (effective November 1, 2025): Broken Lock and Device $100.00; Damaged Register $60.58; Delinquent Fee $50.00; Late Charge 10 percent of Bill; Meter Test $60.58; Pulled Meter or Tampering $500.00; Pull Straight Line $1,000.00; Reread (first and after) $10.00 and $25.00; Returned Check $30.00; Transfer of Service $25.00; Vacant or Unauthorized Use $500.00. Account numbers beginning with 1: due between 5th and 10th; beginning with 2: due between 20th and 25th.

Getting a bin, or replacing a damaged one

Call Public Works and Engineering on281-420-5300. Give your name, address and phone number. Best Trash delivers the bin in 5-7 business days. Your own container is fine if it holds 30-50 gallons; bags of 30 gallons or smaller can go beside the bin.
